Jeff Schmalfeldt first opened Little River Welding & Hydraulics in 1986. The company did mostly mechanical work, diesel engine repairs, welding and fabricating as well as custom marine welding. In 1987, we had our first expansion adding 2,000 sq. ft. of shop space to the facility. In 1996, we began doing shape cutting with an optical guided shape-cutting machine. We also do pipe bending up to 3-1/2" inside diameter.

Our newest expansion came in July of 2001 with an additional 5,000 sq. ft. addition to the rear of the existing building. We are now a full line Gates hydraulic hose and fitting dealer, as well as welding supplies. We offer control cables for power transmission products. We stock steel in all shapes and sizes. Our service truck, complete with a 6,000 lb. crane, (2) 300 amp welding machines, a compressor and compliments of tools, we can handle most any job.

NEW for the shop is a 1/4" x 10' hydraulic numerically controlled backguaging shear, and a 60" x 3/16" Roundo electric sheet roller for tank fabrication. A Peddinghaus 140 ton ironworker gets the larger holes punched with ease. A complete machine shop is now open for all your precision machining needs. Boring, facing, honing, milling, drilling, we can do it all in one location.
